Tauranga, located between Whitianga and Rotorua, is (in my opinion) a true hidden gem! The city offers great sights, charming shops, and inviting restaurants. Just 15 minutes by bus is Mount Maunganui, where a long white sand beach stretches out as far as the eye can see. The mount itself rises 230 meters and features several walking trails to the summit. Once at the top, you’re rewarded with breathtaking views of the harbor, the city, and that endless stretch of white beach.
